The manufacturing of artificial diamonds in China has surged to the extent that their costs have decreased, competing with pure diamonds. These artificial diamonds are so an identical to their pure counterparts that even consultants have issue distinguishing them. Consequently, De Beers, the world’s largest diamond producer, has created a college to analysis strategies to distinguish between pure and artificial diamonds. The purpose of this college is to offer coaching to gemologists and equip them with the mandatory data to detect the refined variations between pure and artificial diamonds. De Beers hopes that by doing so, they are going to be capable to defend the pure diamond trade from being overshadowed by artificial diamond manufacturing.
